Building The
Puppy Care
Center at Best Friends
 Puppies.
They look so cute in pet
stores. But their innocent
faces hide a dark secret:
the silent suffering it took
to bring them there, played
out in puppy mills and in
the breeding industry that
fuels the commercial puppy
trade.
Because of the work of Best
Friends and other humane
organizations, these factory
farms are finally starting
to be shut down forever.
But what will become of the
mother dogs and orphan pups
who've been left homeless?

The less-than-perfect
puppies, who are cast
off due to birth defects
- like weak hips,
deafness and mental
problems - just a few of
the problems that plague
"pure bred" dogs from
puppy mills

Or the mother "breeding"
dogs, who spend their
entire lives in cramped
cages, giving birth year
after year until their
bodies give out ... and
they're auctioned off to
the lowest bidder.
Without Best Friends,
many of these tender
hearts will have nowhere
to go.

building The Puppy Care
Center.

haven. A place to heal. A

forever family.
